The 2022 review
2022 is the birth year of the TailBook
RESULTS OF THE YEAR

In 2022, the founder of the TailBook project presented the idea and concept of the app during Startup Factory.
The project participated in this program, which allowed to gather a great team, work out the idea in detail, the funding model, and create an MVP in 2 months.

FOUNDER'S MESSAGE

Konstantin Skavitin
Founder & CEO of TailBook
The elaboration of the application idea allowed us to form a vision of the application functionality based on a serious study of the state of the problem, study of the needs of all possible users, as well as testing and verification of hypotheses, which allowed us to create not only a prototype, but also a solid foundation for the development of a fully functional application.
And, of course, I'm very grateful to Startup Factory for the opportunities we've been given.

I talk more about what helped us achieve great results in a separate article.

BRILLIANT ACHIEVEMENTS
Successful start of work
TailBook has successfully participated
in the Startup Factory incubation programme.
Let us tell you how it was
01 Showcase
06.11.2022

The founder of the project presented the ideas and concept of an app to help homeless animals.
The presentation aroused considerable interest and 10 invited specialists expressed their willingness to help the project.

The participants were interested not only in the problem but also in the proposed solution based on distributed assistance and contributing as much as possible.
02 Brainstorm
12.11.2022

Working through an idea using ValueProposition Canvas.
Discussing possible scenarios for Customer Journey Map.

We approached the specification of the value and CJM of a socially orientated project from the perspective of approaches used in commercial ones, and got an excellent result.

It is fair to say that the Value Proposition Canvas and Customer Journey Map models can be applied quite effectively in any socially orientated project.
03 Business Analysis
20.11.2022

Formulated the valuable end product of each team member, defined the organisational structure. Gained a better understanding of the business model and its formation.

What was particularly interesting was that we applied the approaches widely used in the formation of commercial products to a socially oriented product. This approach is quite interesting and useful and allows us to take a broader look at a socially oriented project.
04 Prototype
27.11.2022

We learnt interesting cases about research, non-obvious features of UX/UI design formation, as well as modern approaches to prototyping.

By this point, the project founder had prepared sketches of the application and now we had to make a prototyping plan, as well as identify the technology stack that we could use when creating the MVP.
05 Public Review
04.12.2022

It was a very exciting stage with a competitive element: we presented a 3D model of our application created from improvised materials to the public.

The teamwork and excellent realisation of the app idea helped us to tell many people about what we were planning to create.

We were very pleased that at the end of the event, most of the guests chose our project as the best.
06 Alpha Version
11.12.2022

At this stage we defended before the experts the results of work on the formation of the prototype, technical solutions, promotion options and presented the results of work on the project in preparation for project pitching.

It was a very exciting stage, but we were sure that it would be successful, because the presentation of the application model in front of potential users was just great.

And we did, successfully presenting the results of our work.
07 Retrospective
18.12.2022

A very difficult stage, the preparation for which required very serious efforts, as it was the first presentation of the project in the form of pitching, which had to be evaluated by experts very strictly, as it was the only public presentation before the presentation of the project to the public.

But as you can see in the photo, we had a furry helper Itisha (more in SuccessStories) who knows exactly how important it is for a homeless animal to find a home. That helped a lot.
08 Demo Day (Elevation Pitch)
24.12.2022

Here came the decisive test - the project pitching.
Thanks to the support of the team members, the project founder successfully presented the project and the results of the work done.

Surprisingly, in such a short period of time we were able to create a prototype that fully reflected the idea of our project.

The project founder talks about what contributed to such an excellent result in his article.
09 Final
25.12.2022

At Christmas, we gathered for a formal and informal recap of the program we had completed.
It was so great to go down this path, which provided us with great opportunities, and we took advantage of them.

We were able to prove that a socially-oriented project can successfully develop thanks to a great idea and a properly formed team.

It was sad that the program was ending, but we knew for sure that everything was just beginning for our project.
MVP
Not only the technology of the no-code solution, but also the serious consideration of the needs of homeless animals, and all those who care about them, allowed us to create a minimum viable product in record time

SUCCESS STORIES
Itisha
We found love
The story of the first cat rescued
When we were working on the project, there was a red kitty living near the IT Branch House, where our team spent a lot of time. Our team members saw her there quite often and always fed her.

Once, when they came to the co-working centre, the founder of our project Konstantin Skavitin and the main expert Alisa Nichik noticed that the kitty had no tail tip. The sight, of course, is not for the faint-hearted, not to mention that the situation is extremely painful and very dangerous for the health of the little cat.
The very next day the guys caught the kitty and took her to the veterinary clinic for an operation to put her tail in order and sterilisation.
The kitty was strictly forbidden to lick his tail, and he really wanted it. So they had to put a high collar on her. However, it did not allow her to lead a usual life on the street for at least 2 weeks.
Therefore, Kostya got a little neighbour. Interestingly, his other two cats favourably treated the kitten.

Given the circumstances of the acquaintance (this is an IT meeting), Kostya named the kitten Itisha.
At first Itisha was very timid, but then she got used to it and began to actively help in the work on the project.

Thus, thanks to TailBook, the first cat found a loving home
Thank you for being with us
